How to Play Monopoly Roulette

The complete walkthrough of Evolution Gaming's live game show under Hasbro license: placing your bets, how the bonus numbers are dealt, Community Chest and the 3D Monopoly board hosted by Mr. Monopoly.

Monopoly Roulette is a game show streamed live from the Evolution Gaming studios. Launched in January 2025 under official Hasbro license, the title fuses two worlds that seem worlds apart: the precision of European roulette and the playful warmth of the Monopoly board. The result is a fresh format where every round blends classic bets, a random drop of bonus numbers and interactive 3D board phases.

With a 96.23% RTP, bets ranging from $0.10 to $5,000 and a per-round win cap of $500,000, Monopoly Roulette appeals to traditional roulette fans and jackpot hunters alike. Before you bet, take a few minutes to get the big picture, then dig deeper with the full rules and our Monopoly Roulette strategy guide.

A round in 6 steps

Every round of Monopoly Roulette follows a clear, repeatable cycle. Here are the steps that show how a round is built, from the opening bets all the way to a possible bonus phase.

  1. Place your bets — You have 12 to 15 seconds to drop your chips on the roulette grid (amounts between $0.10 and $5,000). Every classic bet is allowed: straight up, split, street, six line, dozen, column, red/black, even/odd and low/high.
  2. The host spins the wheel — The professional dealer sets the single-zero European wheel in motion, exactly as on a traditional roulette table. The ball drops and no one can change their bets anymore.
  3. The lever fires up the slot machine — While the ball is spinning, the host pulls a lever that triggers an internal slot machine. It generates between three and seven Monopoly bonus numbers and several Community Chest symbols, scattered across random squares on the grid.
  4. Random multipliers — The slot can also drop multipliers (x2 to x5 as standard, up to x500 in rare setups) onto certain numbers. If the winning number carries a multiplier, your straight-up winnings are boosted automatically.
  5. The ball stops — The winning number is announced. If you bet on that number, your winnings are calculated using the standard payouts. If the number carries a bonus symbol, a special phase kicks off right away.
  6. Possible bonus phase — Community Chest Bonus (3 cards, multipliers up to x300) or Monopoly Bonus (3D board hosted by Mr. Monopoly), depending on the symbol drawn. The round wraps up with the payout and a return to the main table.

Three types of player, three ways to play

Monopoly Roulette lends itself to several styles depending on your budget, your patience and your appetite for risk. Here are three common approaches among US players.

The classic roulette player

If you enjoy traditional European roulette, you can ignore the bonus phases entirely and bet exclusively on the even-money wagers (red/black, even/odd) or the outside bets (dozens, columns). The base RTP stays close to a standard EU roulette and the variance is measured. Ideal for long sessions on a small bankroll.

The bonus hunter

At the other end, some players load their bets onto the numbers flagged as bonus (visible before the spin). By betting straight up or split on those numbers, you maximize the odds of triggering a Community Chest or a Monopoly Bonus. The variance is high, but the upside is enormous when a sequence falls into place.

The balanced profile

Most players blend the two approaches: a main bet on an outside wager (red/black, for example) to keep the rhythm going, plus a satellite straight-up bet on two or three bonus numbers to chase the special phases. This approach steadies your real RTP while keeping the thrill of the Monopoly Bonus within reach.
